Meet The Team

Don

Don has farmed mostly on his own since 1977 until he joined forces with his younger brother, Lynn, in 2006. He has been married to Suzie since 1977 and they have 11 daughters. They have 23 grandchildren, and will probably have more by the time you read this. Don has a farming setup one mile north of the main farm that has additional storage for grain, bulk fertilizer, fuel, and seed.

Lynn

Lynn began farming full time after he graduated from high school in 1981. He married Ronda Meyer three years later and together they have been blessed with two daughters and five sons. Three of the sons are employed full time working with Lynn on the farm. Much of Lynn’s time is divided between the farm and pastoring a rural country church in which they feel privileged to serve. The boys would tell you they have learned a lot from their dad, and even some things about farming.

Vince&Bre.jpg

Vince

Vince has been farming full time since graduating from high school, and helping out since he was old enough to drive a tractor. He has been married to Breana since 2012, and they have two children. He is often the one who gets the ball rolling around the farm. He has a way of motivating others around him with his leadership, and is often the one to spearhead new projects. He enjoys helping train his younger brothers as they come out of school and become full time on the farm. He is also part owner of Fiechter Family Livestock. If you ever stop by the farm, you may see Vince with a little shadow following him, his young son Jake.

Troy Fam.jpg

Troy

Troy is the farm’s inventor and public relations guy. He graduated with an engineering degree from Purdue in 2013, married Alexa in 2015, and took a job with BioTown Ag as a project manager for a developing innovative livestock farm. They are currently living in Brookston, IN. Talented at thinking outside the box and coming up with new ideas to implement in our business, Troy brings the vision of the future Ag industry to the table. He also enjoys farming conferences, traveling, trucking, mechanical tinkering, and is always up for a good laugh.

Darin Fam.JPEG

Darin

Darin is our do-it man. He graduated from Ivy Tech in 2012 with an Associate’s degree in Agriculture Business Management. He is a logical problem solver for the farm. He manages a swine finishing facility, and he is also a part owner of TDZ Trucking, which hauls livestock. Mechanically talented but also with a creative side, Darin has a small sticker and sign printing business, DeeSigns. He married Madison, a farm girl, in 2014. He enjoys working on equipment, vehicles, and making sure there is a decal on every vehicle on the farm.

Benj Fam.jpg

Benjamin

Benjamin brings a fun atmosphere with him wherever he goes. Whether it’s fixing a broken machine or hauling the 100th load of corn, he always has time to talk. He graduated in 2015 with a mechanical engineering degree from IPFW. He also manages a second swine finishing facility. In 2015 he married his high school sweetheart, McKenna, and they have 3 boys and are expecting baby number 4. They have also started a small dog breeding business.

William

William graduated from Southern Wells in 2020 and is now pursuing a Business Degree from Purdue Fort Wayne. His plan is to commit to the farm full time when he finishes school.
