Partnership Opportunities

FLEXIBLE PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Fiechter Brothers Ag currently rents land from over 35 landowners. Three examples of how we have partnered with these landowners are listed below. 

Flex Cash Rent

This is the agreement the majority of our landowners choose.  As the name implies, the landowner receives a set base amount each year.  Together, we begin by negotiating a fair base rent determined by the farm’s productivity potential and input and commodity prices.  If the year’s profitability allows, the landowner has the option of receiving a bonus paid following the harvest season or invested back into the farm.  This type of agreement allows the landowner to capture much of a year’s profitability while limiting the landowner’s risk that is associated with producing a crop. 

Crop Share Leases

This type of lease most accurately reflects each year’s profitability and a farm’s production ability.  It is designed to give the landowner a “stake” in the game.  It will produce the opportunity for the landowner to share in high profits as they are achieved but also make the landowner susceptible to all the variables that occur during the growing season.  Lease specifics can be tweaked to best serve both parties.  Typically we provide all the inputs needed and handle all the management decisions required to produce the crop.  The landowner can then decide to market the crop to a local elevator, store the grain in our facilities, or to sell their share of the grain back to us.   

Custom Farming

We also give the landowner the opportunity to control even more of the farms management decision by simply hiring us to perform whatever tasks are needed for crop production.  This allows the landowner to “custom tailor” the type of management they want implemented on their ground.  Services offered include custom tillage, planting, herbicide application, harvesting, grain hauling, and manure or lime application.
